I use a harmony hub. Right now I can only turn the TV on and off with Google Home. I can do that and change the channel with Amazon Echo Dot, but it's not that efficient. I also have a Chromecast which allows me to play YouTube videos and Netflix using Google Home.

If you want the Google Home to turn on your TV you need a Logitech Harmony Remote in addition to your Google Home - and to send videos to the TV you need a Chromecast then you can say "Okay Google, Play *whatever* on the TV) and it casts from YouTube to the Chromecast

Please try again later.You would need to either have a chromecast plugged in to your TV or have an Android TV, My recommendation would be to get a chromecast since it is less expensive, it will also allow you to cast from your phone to your TV and it is platform agnostic, it will work on either Android or iOS, but if you want to have a nice TV interface on your TV i would recommend getting an Android TV which provides a nicer interface for navigating through apps on your TV and also allows you to cast from your phone and TV.
