Memory can make your computer run faster and more efficient, Hard drive for storage. it depends what is more important to you. Speed or Space for file storage.

Please try again later.I am going to assume you mean a 500GB hard drive and not 500TB considering there is no such thing. there is 1000GB that make up a 1TB, Depeding on what you want more, if you want more storage than memory than the 4gb memory and 1tb hard drive would be better. If you want more memory than storage then the 8 gb memory 500GB would be best.
