A:AnswerHello. Thanks for your question. You can connect this HP Envy 6055 printer to your desktop computer with the USB A to B cable. If don't use the HP Smart app to scan, you will need some kind of software or app to handle the scanning.
A:AnswerI did the same thing. You will lose the free 6 months of instant ink with (700 pages to print each month) if you REPLACE your existing printer on your Instant ink account. To take advantage of the free 6-months with my new printer, I simply cancelled/deactivated the printer on my existing account and chose the option SET-UP NEW PRINTER as opposed to the replace printer option. This way, I could get the free 6 months and print as much as I want. I’m not nearly printing 700 pages a month (and that’s sharing the printer with a high school kid who occasionally needs to print an assignment). I hope this helps.
A:AnswerDid not know this printer prints both sides. Do not think that it does, If it does, I do not know how to work it and there are no instructions on how to use printer. I guess HP assumes we all know how to set up and work this printer. I would never buy this printer again.
A:AnswerMy printer came with a cord to hook up to my laptop if I wanted to. I only use Bluetooth or WiFi, so I haven't hooked it up. However, during set-up there were clear prompts explaining how to do a manual connection.
A:AnswerWelcome to my world with this printer. I was lucky, I plug in my printer direct to my computer, using my old printer cord and it works. I do not know what to tell you to help you.
