“Plugged in refrigerator and the sides of the refrigerator get hot within 5 minutes of plugging it in. It has 5 inches of clearance in the back as well clearance on the sides? Is this normal for the sides to get ver hot? It is plugged into a correct outlet”

• I have this unit but even after months of use I have never felt the sides or back radiating much heat. Sound like your unit has some sort of issue

• No this is not normal, mine does not do this. I would recommend you call someone from Insignia or exchange it immediately!
