I purchased this unit 1 month ago for the exact same purpose. It fits almost exactly in the same space as a Norcold NX841 - 7.5 CF model, though it is wdier and deeper. I needed to extend the width of the front frame by 1/2 to fit. The front of the fridge comes to the front of the original opening, but the door extends forward of that. Works fine for me. I love the additional space (over 2cf), and the "normal" fridge behavior - IE even cooling, separate temp control for freezer and fridge, etc). I was also able to block off the exhaust vent in the roof, which helps a lot in reducing drafts. I would recommend this product for this purpose!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am an RV'er as well. I wouldn't do it unless it was parked almost permanently. RV fridges and home fridges are designed differently. This one only runs on 110v power, and needs to sit for several hours before you turn it on after it has been moved.
