QuestionI have a new LG microwave, m/n LMV1762ST.. looking for the timer. Found in instruction book, page 14, how to use microwave kitchen timer. My question is, the fan runs while microwave is counting, should fan be running while timer is going?

- Answer I would assume the unit is designed to always run the fan as a precautionary measure. More than likely an OSHA or FDA regulation.

QuestionThe product specifications on this site state this microwave has a timer, but it does not. The fact it stated it has a timer is why we bought it. Where is the timer?

- Answer The LMV1762ST does have a Kitchen Timer and instructions found on page 14 are as below: Once cook time has been entered, you can also use the Power Level pad as a Kitchen Timer by entering “0” for the Cook Power. The oven will count down the cooking time you set without cooking. Example, press Cook Time > enter 2:00 ( 2 Minutes) > Power Level > Press 0 > Start.

Questioncurrently installed at the minimum height requirement but would like to raise my cabinets.. what is the maximum recommended/prescribed height that the vent/cabinet can be above the stove/range that it will still be effective?

- Answer Never mind, I found it my self. Look on the bottom of page 7 in the manual. Set the time.....set the power button to 0 (zero) then press start. Wala, it works!!! No thanks to other owners.

QuestionSome of the answers must have a different manual (page 7 vs page 14). But I tried setting the Time and the Power Level to 0, and the microwave turntable and vent still operate. I've tried using LG's live chat, but to no avail.

- Answer To turn off the sound on the LG - 1.7 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave with EasyClean - Stainless Steel, model LMV1762ST microwave, you can try the following steps: - Press and hold the "Clear" button and "Auto Reheat" button together for 3 seconds. This should turn off all sounds. - Press the "Settings" or "Custom" button, depending on your microwave, to access the editable options. Then, press the corresponding number for the "Sound" option and select the desired setting. Press "Start/Enter" to save the changes. These methods should allow you to turn off the sound on your LG LMV1762ST microwave. ^Danee
