Q: QuestionAre there any pedestals that are compatible with top loading LG washers/dryers? I am trying to look for a decent looking solution that enables me to raise the washer/dryer by 18inches from the floor for my garage install to be code compliant. Any tips?

• A:Answer We do not have any compatible LG Laundry Pedestals for our Top Load Washers, and their matching rear control dryers. LG Laundry Pedestals are only compatible with our LG Front Load Washers and matching dryers,, and we do not make compatible LG Laundry Pedestals for our Top Load Washers and matching dryers. Raising a washer and dryer off the floor can be done by using a wooden platform, or a DIY washer and dryer pedestal...^Ivan.

However, it is important to note that pedestals like the WDP6W are designed to be used under single units only, not under stacked washer and dryer setups. Using a pedestal under a stacked washer and dryer is not recommended for safety and stability reasons. If your washer and dryer are stacked, the pedestal would not provide the proper support and could affect stability. Regarding noise, when used correctly under a single unit, the pedestal should not cause additional noise. Q: QuestionMy current LG Washer/Dryer have removable dividers in the pedestal drawer that divides the drawer into drawer into 2 halves. I absolutely love it and I notice that this WM4000HWA model also has a place for the divider. Can these be ordered for this model

Q: QuestionWhat is a washer drip pan that can be used that will allow the drawer to open? The out of box has about a half inch clearance to open the drawer.

• A:Answer As you have noted, if the 'out of box' LG 27" Laundry Pedestal with Storage Drawer - Graphite Steel, Model # WD6PV has a half inch clearance to open the drawer, then you will need a washer drip pan that has a lip of less than half an inch to allow the drawer to open or a washer drip pan that has enough space in front of the drawer so you can open it fully...^Ivan.

• A:Answer I had the same situation and was told no. I checked numerous sources and was given different answers at first. But apparently they are slightly different sizes ( It does look different). LG said no. The delivery people apparently have been instructed not to put the new washer on the old pedestal for safety reasons. Good luck.
