The inside of the pedestal drawer offers approximately 10 inches of vertical clearance. Because of this, an 11-inch tall box of laundry detergent will not stand upright and may need to be placed on its side to fit properly inside the compartment. However, it is important to note that pedestals like the WDP6W are designed to be used under single units only, not under stacked washer and dryer setups. Using a pedestal under a stacked washer and dryer is not recommended for safety and stability reasons. If your washer and dryer are stacked, the pedestal would not provide the proper support and could affect stability. Regarding noise, when used correctly under a single unit, the pedestal should not cause additional noise. If you want to raise your washer or dryer height safely, please use the pedestal under each unit separately, not for stacked units.
