“I have a the original I pod with the4 wheel. Can i hook it this TV to watch video or listen to music Or would i have to turn on my desk top to have the TV play my music How is the sound quality without sound bar”

I don't know much about the iPod, but I assume it connects to a video display through a composite video output. If this is not the case, then all bets are off. But if it does, this TV does have a composite video input, as well as analog stereo inputs, so you should be able to plug in your iPod without any problem. The sound quality of the TV through its built-in speakers is actually not half-bad. Not great, but about what you would expect from small speakers in a thin case. I still prefer to hook up my TV through my stereo system.
