• No you don't need to hard line this tv for it to run. You can run it strictly off the internet although I mostly use my fire stick

• You can just run it on wifi , i only us it off the wifi

• I have it just with WiFi and the tv has access to Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, etc. If there tv is connected with a internet cable is a little faster when browsing
