“We have this TV and DISH. Anything I watched saved on DVR has “lost” it’s CC we always use with DISH. When we turn TV on with DISH remote to watch these or regular network channels, no CC. I want CC on all my prerecorded shows and any I watch. How to get?”

Call dish and they will guide you through enabling closed captioning on your dish receiver. Has nothing to do with the tv itself. Sometimes there is a dedicated cc button on the dish remote. Somebody may have accidentally pressed it.
