What's involved with "activation"? null

If you do it at the store, because the phone is unlocked , you can choose between a couple carriers. You get the cheaper price for the phone because Best Buy is getting a kickback from the carrier. Sometimes they only have deals with certain carriers. If you're in an area and can get a better deal online, pay the extra without activation price. I ordered from a carrier before I purchased the phone. Whenever you buy an unlocked phone there is no SIM card. Best to know ahead of time what carrier you want.
