• Not to watch a disc. You will need WiFi to stream any service like Netflix or Hulu. You will also need it on occasion to update the firmware on occasion. Occasionally a new movie comes out that requires a firmware update to play. You could always move the player and take it to place with WiFi to update the firmware if there is ever a need.

• If you plan on taking advantage of the streaming applications on the BP350, you will need the internet to be connected to your Blu-ray player. ^CP
