• So wifi access is a built in feature, meaning no direct cable connection to the internet modem is required. But to receive internet service YES you have to subscribe to an available internet provider in your area.

• You don't pay any extra for the wifi as long as you already have it in your house for your computer or to stream content, etc. You will just need to connect the blu ray player to your existing wifi. You might need the password for your wifi in order to connect it.

• We have been using ours without connecting it to the internet, but if you want to stream shows through the blu-ray player you will need to have an internet connection available.
