• A Tri-band network provides 3 network bands, one (1) 2.4 GHz and two (2) 5GHz band which allows the router to have the capacity to assign wireless clients to connect into one of the two (2) 5 GHz bands, Jay. While the Dual-band only offers one 2.4 and one 5 GHz band.
