“If I currently have a built-in camera on my PC but I don't like the location of it (the bottom of the screen) and I plug this one in, does it "over-ride" the built-in one? or do I have to go into my PC and some how shut it down? Thanks”

You could probably just select the webcam instead of the built in camera you have or just go into settings on whatever you use and just disable the built in cam.
