• No, it's a screw at the bottom of the mount. should fit any conventional tripod

• Hello Dwight, the camera comes ready to mount with threading on the bottom. But yes, you may need an adapter to mount on a mic stand as it is meant to mount on the tripod. -Danielle from Logitech
