No, it is a standard logitech laser, it tracks very well though, even fairly well on glass.

Nope, this uses BlueTrack technology. Great on most surfaces EXCEPT glass. I recommend the Logitech Anywhere line of products if you want to use the DarkField technology.

I am not certain if the M705 is a "darkfield laser" mouse or not. I know it's a laser mouse and I do not have any issues with the Mouse M705 tracking.

Yes, it is darkfield mouse. My table at work is whit and I just tried it on glass; works just fine.
