• The USB adapter is attached in a slot inside the paper package pretty much where you unwrap it

• The dongle was not in the mouse. It was separate. It fell out of one of the bags wrapping them. I found it laying on my desk after unpacking the keyboard and mouse. Poor packaging design for sure.
