Can I use the MX Anywhere 3 with the cable only - i.e no USB receiver and no bluetooth?

I see that the MX Vertical lists using the cable as a connection option while none of the other MX product do - though they advertise using the same chip. null

Hello, guss77! Unfortunately, the cable that comes with the MX Anywhere 3 is only for charging and won't provide a connection to your computer. You will have to use the USB receiver or Bluetooth. - Maggie from Logitech

I did not have success after trying to answer your question, although, the cable I used may not of been proper -- The one used was from my daughters corsair headphones which we use for charging..
