• I have only had my washer a couple of weeks, however, I have had an out of balance load, and there was no alarm. The machine went out of the spin cycle, but kept running.

• Mine has never gone out of balance. I have only had mine about a month. My front loader went out of balance all the time. I do think it does shut down.
