• As long as it is recorded with cc on., It will show them with captions

• I believe it can. I haven't tried it, but since the closed caption is already embedded in the source, it should work.

• I believe the answer to that is yes, though I haven't normally done it. I believe the close captioning is in the meta file that is also created at the same time, and can be played back on this device.
