DEAR Jav:

you would be able to port your number to any carrier that provides GSM (SIM card) service. To port an existing number the service from the old carrier requires to be active at time of porting the number. Cricket provides GSM service on select phones. I advice you to call Cricket before you make the purchase and make sure this phone will work on their network. Not 100% sure but this unlocked GSM phone should work without any issues.

Hi Jav, thanks for your interest in our product. The device is unlocked to all major US carrier so the switch is possible. However, the service provider that you want to move into later on should be supported by the phone.
