Confusing, If you purchase a Netflix gift and you don't have a Netflix account. I can assume you or someone is intending to be a Netflix account eventually. This card is for screaming Netflix, in order for this card to have use, it would need to be used for its purpose. Which is to pay for a Netflix monthly subscription. If this is a gift for someone, and the already have a Netflix account. You basically purchase this card for them and they get Netflix for free for a new months. It's like buying a gas card for someone who drive. You basically payed for the gas for some time.. I hope this helps.

Give the gift and it can be applied to their current account if they have one or it may be used to open an account if they don't. It's as if you gave a someone a gift of a frying pan, most people wouldn't worry if they had a stove, With that said in order to use Netflix you must have a screen connected to the internet whether it be a TV or a computer or a tablet. If the household cannot connect to the internet they will be unable to use it.
