If i am shooting star trails with this lens on a D5200 using intervalometer; after my first shot, where i will be manually setting the focus to infinity, will the focus reset? The stars are at infinity so will they still be in focus after the focus reset? null

Shooting star trails the camera must be set on manual and applies to all.

When used on the D5200 this AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5/6 VR Lens will reset its focus position when the camera’s standby timer activates. This will occur in both manual focus and auto focus modes. The D5200 goes into standby mode during interval-timer intervals. Therefore this lens will reset its focus position when interval shooting, even when the camera is set to manual focus. A NIKKOR lens with the AF-S designation will not have this limitation on the D5200 and will support both manual and autofocus. For more information please contact Nikon Support.
