• Yes, the Nikon AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR Wide-Angle Zoom lens will work with the Nikon D5300 DSLR camera, however, the focus ring on this lens cannot be disabled when used with this camera model, even with a firmware update. This means that the lens can continue to be manually focused using the focus ring even when in autofocus mode. This lens is compatible with the Nikon D5300 and VR options are available with firmware update of 1.01 and higher. • Yes. This is a DX lens. Your D5300 is a crop sensor. So it is compatible.
