“When using the flash it seems like a long time is needed in between pictures for it to refresh even with brand new batteries. What settings may help this to be faster.”

The flash on the Nikon COOLPIX B500 digital camera does take time to recover, however there are some settings on this camera that may cause the flash to have a slower recovery time.
