If the file is under 128G in size, then it will hold it. If it is larger than that, you could try using a .zip application on your desktop. If it's is still larger than 128G after converting to a .zip file, you will have to buy a thumbdrive with a larger storage capacity.

This usb drive holds 128gigs of space, how big is the family tree maker file? I am sure it will hold this and many more.
