• Yes, you can wire it to your house doorbell or use the rechargeable battery instead. You charge the battery using a USB that is provided.

• I used existing doorbell wires from a standard 2 door system with no modifications. House was originally built about 22 years ago.

• To my understanding the wired system or the battery system are two different models of the Ring doorbell/video units.
