Can this be mounted to a plaster wall, not dry wall? null

Yes, just make sure to mount it where there is the wood bar behind the wall plaster

This question raised a question. How far apart are the studs? They mounted my unit (which is DRYWALL) directly through the drywall to the studs which provides a much stronger mount than just through the dry wall. If mounting to studs on a plaster/lath wall, mounting to the studs would obviously provide better anchorage. Mounting only to the lath within a plaster wall would probably require some fairly significant toggle bolts or something similar to spread out behind the lath and plaster and anchor and provide the support.
