- A:Answer You have a dead paperweight after around 400 charge cycles, or a little over 2 years with normal usage. Funny that they really didn't answer a straightforward question like that.

Q: QuestionCan I wear this ring on my pinky finger? It fits best on my pinky.
Asked by April.
This question was asked about the related product: Samsung - Galaxy Ring – Size Before You Buy – Size 5 - Titanium Black - (2024)
- A:Answer It is advised that you were it on first the index, second the middle and third the ring finger. No matter where you wear it as long as it fits snug is the bigger concern. I would recommend that you do not purchase. I bought four of the rings when they were released. There are serious degradation issues and a new ring is scheduled for release in 2027. If you must purchase, buy used and get a warranty.

Q: QuestionDoes it get you accurate oxygen levels. I have a where disease where I need to track my oxygen PAH!
Asked by JOEG.
This question was asked about the related product: Samsung - Galaxy Ring – Size Before You Buy – Size 11 - Titanium Black - (2024)
- A:Answer Yes, but don't buy, a new one is currently scheduled to be released in 2027. This one has serious battery degradation issues. If you really want it, buy it used with a rating of excellent. But beware that the battery in most cases will not last more than 20 months with serious degradation happening after 5 - 8 months. The price has also not changed since the device was released in 2024. Buying used is risky as well because the battery cannot be replaced in the device, so even though it make look in good condition depending on the age you could be getting it at the end of life. So if a warranty is available it would be worth it, if you get it used.

Q: QuestionSamsung ring size14 what is the inner diameter in mm?
Asked by Mario.
This question was asked about the related product: Samsung - Galaxy Ring – Size Before You Buy – Size 14 - Titanium Silver - (2025)
- A:Answer The inner diameter is 32mm and the outer is 28.2mm, but I would recommend you do not purchase, as Samsung is scheduled to release the Galaxy Ring 2 in 2027 and the price of this one has not decreased since its release in July 2024 and has serious battery issues. If you must have it, get it used or refurbished and be sure to get a warranty. The device battery has serious degradation issues and if purchased used there is no way to know how much life remains on the battery since the battery cannot be replaced because of its size.

Q: QuestionWill this ring work with an Apple phone
Asked by Anonymous.
This question was asked about the related product: Samsung - Galaxy Ring – Size Before You Buy – Size 15 - Titanium Black - (2025)
- A:Answer Currently the ring does not work with iOS, but Samsung Galaxy Ring 2 is rumored to work with Apple devices. It is a good thing because this first generation has serious battery degradation issues and the battery does not last more than 20 months on most rings purchased.

Q: QuestionDoes the ring track sleep at all hours of the day? Is it compatible with shift work sleeping? Does it have a night shift mode?
Asked by MsMary.
This question was asked about the related product: Samsung - Galaxy Ring – Size Before You Buy – Size 7 - Titanium Silver - (2024)
- A:Answer It tracks sleep based on your heart rate so if you sleep at any point of the day it will log the sleep. If you sleep for shorter periods of time it logs it as a nap. If you are considering a purchase a new ring is scheduled to be released in 2027. I would not purchase this model due to the serious battery degradation and the fact that the price has not dropped since its release in 2024 although the battery issue is known to Samsung.

Q: QuestionIf the ring can measure body temperature, can it alert me if I have a fever?
Asked by Kiki.
This question was asked about the related product: Samsung - Galaxy Ring – Size Before You Buy – Size 5 - Titanium Black - (2024)
- A:Answer The temperature monitor is for cycle tracking and sleep monitoring, it cannot tell you when you have a fever, although that's a great idea. If you are interested in the ring it has serious battery degradation issues. A second generation is scheduled to be released sometime in 2027. The price point has not dropped for the ring since its release in July 2024 it is extremely overpriced with known battery issues.

Q: QuestionIs the Samsung Galaxy Ring FSA/HSA eligible item? If so, how do they ring it up at the register, because the store employees don't know how.
Asked by Ted.
- A:Answer It is FSA/HSA eligible, but most times you would need to use your associated FSA/HSA card or transfer cash from the account to make the payment. If you don't have a card or cannot withdraw cash from the account you would have to request a reimbursement. If you were not able to purchase count it all joy. The product was released in 2024. A lot of reviews were early reviews made within a short time of purchasing. The ring has serious degradation issues and the life span is coming in for a lot of users at 20 months and under. Samsung has also not decreased the price and a new Gen 2 is scheduled to drop sometime in 2027.

Q: QuestionIs this the generation 2
Asked by Dwayne.
This question was asked about the related product: Samsung - Galaxy Ring – Size Before You Buy – Size 13 - Titanium Black - (2024)
- A:Answer No, this is the generation one, and I would strongly recommend waiting on the generation two that is scheduled to drop in 2027. This first gen has a battery degradation issue and does not last in most cases past 20 months.

Q: QuestionWhat if the battery does last 8 hours?
Asked by SandyJ.
This question was asked about the related product: Samsung - Galaxy Ring – Size Before You Buy – Size 9 - Titanium Silver - (2024)
- A:Answer If the battery is only lasting eight hours you are in the same boat as many of us that purchased this first generation ring. The battery has a degradation issue and begins to deteriorate around the fifth and sixth month. Not working soon after that. If you have had the ring less than a year, contact Samsung pronto for an in-warranty replacement.

Q: QuestionI have a new high-end pacemaker, and my cardiologist indicated that the Oura ring would not be an issue, but they didn't know if that was true with the Samsung ring. Can I safely use this ring with a pacemaker?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The Samsung uses different detection technology than the Oura ring. It's peculiar that your Cardiologist doesn't have a clear recommendation. The primary concern is magnetic interference, clearance for one ring doesn't mean clearance for another. Oura rings are a lot more expensive and you have to have a subscription, so I understand looking into the Galaxy Ring. A second generation is scheduled for release in 2027. This first generation ring has serious degradation issues, so for that reason alone I would not purchase. But when the specs are released for the second generation it would be a good idea to ask your Cardiologist to review it or review studies to see if any of the parts interfere with the magnetic in your pacemaker.

Q: Questionfor heart and pulse/ox monitoring... will this alarm at night?
Asked by mikeS.
This question was asked about the related product: Samsung - Galaxy Ring – Size Before You Buy – Size 12 - Titanium Black - (2024)
- A:Answer If you have configured heart rate alerts it will notify you while you are sleeping. If you are thinking about purchasing I would advise waiting until 2027 when the second generation will be released. This first generation version has serious battery degradation issues and doesn't last more than 20 months for most people. If you have purchased within the last year and notice battery issues it does come with a one year warranty and I would contact Samsung for an in-warranty replacement.

Q: QuestionWhat does it actually do?
Asked by Anonymous.
This question was asked about the related product: Samsung - Galaxy Ring – Size Before You Buy – Size 10 - Titanium Gold - (2024)
- A:Answer The ring tracks your sleep, heart rate, blood oxygen level, skin temperature, auto detects exercise, walking and running, you can use it to initiate your camera to take pictures with pinch gestures. It also does not have a subscription. It is a great product but suffers from severe battery degradation with many people stating that it stops working completely before 20 months of ownership. For me personally mine and my partners both stopped working within 18 months completely. I have two more that are on the same trajectory but they were all purchased within six months of the release so I was unaware. There is a generation two version by Samsung scheduled to be released in 2027 so if you haven't purchased yet, wait. They have taken their time with the second generation which was originally supposed to be released in late 2025 early 2026.

Q: QuestionDoes the Galaxy ring pair white Google smartphone well?
Asked by Tim.
This question was asked about the related product: Samsung - Galaxy Ring – Size Before You Buy – Size 10 - Titanium Gold - (2024)
- A:Answer Setting it up is easy using the Galaxy Wearable App, sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring, step counting and automatic workout detection all work, but certain features like the energy score and pinch gesture features only work with Samsung devices. If you haven't purchased yet don't. There is a serious degradation issue with the first generation and a second generation is scheduled to be released sometime in 2027. Samsung delayed its release which was originally schedule for late 2025 or early 2026. The price has not dropped since this version was released in 2024. They could possibly be trying to clear out inventory before they release the new one. But if you can wait this one the battery for most people is not lasting more than 20 months and at $399 plus tax it was a waste of my money, to me.
