Can you add memory via SD card? null

You can add memory but you can not add apps to the memory card only media.

Per product specification up to 1tb SD card can be added.

As I can see I am not the only user that found out that apps can not be installed on the SD card, only media. That is why I purchased the Tab A with 128GB onboard. This version (128GB base memory) can hold more apps than the Newer A7 which has only 32GB or 64GB available for apps installations. And I have had Snapdragon processor tablets. I was not impressed. So I am going with the Tab A 128GB which is on it's way via store pick-up. Thank you for your mention of apps/SD card limitations. Although there are several apps aimed at getting more than just media on the SD. Still will install a High Speed 128GB SD card for a 256GB total on My new Tab A (2019). I am currently selling my 2016 Tab A 16GB at a very good price. I rarely use it since purchasing a Moto G Power phone which has 64GB base memory and a Large screen. This new Moto Power is a Great phone.

You can add STORAGE space with a SD/SDHC/SDXC cards. You can't add memory, this is referred to as RAM.
