Unless there's something blocking the drivers, there should not be an effect.

Meaning that the speakers send the sound out so that it can bounce off the walls and ceiling and change the direction of the sound to reach your ears. So as long as you are not obstructing the sound path, you are OK to place the TV or bar however you please.
