• Yes it should work just as any other SD card however if you are using it to take photos it might be worth it to get multiple smaller SD cards just in case when shooting your photos only a smaller amount has a chance to be corrupt instead of 512GB worth.

• Tony, The Nikon D5100 supports SD cards up to 128GB, so the 512GB PRO Plus is not compatible. ~Samsung Pro
