“Recently purchased this player and it will not play newer DVD. Says no disc. Put in some older ones and it will work. Is there something wrong with it? Iam I doing something wrong?”

I ran into this to. The DVD disk had a film on it from manufacturing. Rinsed under real hot tap water then blotted dry. Works great after that.
