For anyone in the future. I use a wireless ethernet bridge. It makes any cat5
Connection wireless. $20-$40 for a basic one. 
 4 years late oh well.

I was told you must use an Ethernet cable to connect the DVD player to the internet. (I returned mine to get a wi-fi ready unit.)

This player cannot be connected via WIFI. It must be connected via Ethernet. This player does not support networks 10Mbps or less, according to the owner manual.

NO you have to have a cat5E or cat6 cable to connect to the internet it is NOT WiFi.
