• Yes, it should play back in full HDR as long as you have the player and the TV setup to do so (go into settings of each and make sure your 4:2:2 mode is set up to either auto or on, depending if you want to upscale all movies or not). I watched the "Eddie the Eagle" 4k blu-ray with my Samsung 4k TV and this player, and it worked wonderfully. Make sure you have a good HDMI 2.0 / 18gbps cable, or you will experience skips/freezes during playback as lesser HDMI cables can't keep up with the bitrate of 4k. I bought a $10 securomax HDMI 2.0 / 18gbps cable and it works great.
