Slide the small end out and insert into the micro USB port. This will not work on the newer USB C ports.

Please try again later.What depends what kind of smartphone you have it is not for Apple it is for Android and simply all you have to do is put the connector the micro USB connector and inserted into were the charging port would be and you just simply let it do its job it would automatically backup almost everything it's designed to backup everything on your phone and then with the other end you connected to your computer at home and also transfer files from that device to your main computer and back and forth again so it is a very handy device to have you're going to have to see if you're running the right kind of software you may have to upgrade your computer's all drivers to take it but your smartphone is designed for if it's running Android
