The Seagate Dashboard is probably in your startup by default. Also, you may choose to do full backups or incremental on demand. I'm new to the software, so I removed it from startup and backup on demand using a free software that does imaging quite well. I'm not sure if I can mention it, but my answer will be reviewed before it is posted. I would like to use the Seagate software that came with the drive, but for now, until I learn it, I use the free version of Macrium Reflect. Hope this helps. Also, do you really need a daily backup? I just create restore points in Windows. It all depends on what you are doing on a daily basis.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have noticed that the backup will slow down my PC. To trouble shoot, try plugging in the drive and pausing the backup. Then contact Seagate support for help.
