I believe you can participants it to make two drives (like every and f). There are plenty of online videos plus I think geek squad can do it two.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It should work with each laptop but you'll have to plug it in independently one at the time. There's no Wi-Fi on this hard drive. So there's no real way to plug them into both laptops at the same time but if that's not needed and if Wi-Fi is not needed, this will get the job done.

Please try again later.you could plug it into your router and share it on the network I have a 4tb on mine to store media files For backing up a hard drive I would recommend plugging it directly into the PC and using Paragon Hard Disk Manager they will give a individual a free key and even in the free mode you can back the whole HD and restore it
