You will need an in-home docking station of some kind, but you can take it out of your car and use it in the house if you have a home docking station. If you get it with the in-home equipment then you'll need the vehicle kit, I don't think it comes with both but I'm not positive on that.

To use your same radio in your home you will also need an SXDH3 or an SXDH4. These home accessory kits include all you need to use your Onyx Plus radio at home (home antenna, AC power supply, home dock and remote control) and both accessory kits are compatible with your Onyx Plus. The SXDH4 is just a newer version of the kit but you may still find both available at your retailers.
