“Our back deck is about 10 feet off the ground. 1. If we place these speakers in our yard (below deck) and angle them up at the deck would that affect sound quality? 2. Anyone attach these to a deck rather than the ground? Experiences with that? Thanks”

I have an elevated deck and had the same concern about them being down below along the perimeter of the yard. I was figuring I would start with these and eventually add a couple of speakers to bring the sound up to the deck space, but honestly, there’s no need. These things fill the air with amazing sound, especially if you use a high quality source like Apple Music’s lossless quality, Deezer, Tidal or Spotify HiFi when it comes out. I may still add speakers up top, but not as a primary source, just surround sound. I just don’t know if I really need it….
