It depends on your receiver. With vaulted ceilings the distance from the speaker to your ear will affect the timing of the sound reaching your ear. The sound needs to reach your ear at an appropriate timing to match what's on the tv. Most recovers have the ability to adjust the distance of the speaker to compensate for timing. The nice thing about these speakers is that you point the woofers and the tweeters at your ear to make up for the ceiling angle.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Not at all, I have 14ft ceiling myself in our living room area that needed 6 speakers as well. When I had the house built I had it set pre-wiring in the spaces needed to accommodate the room sound wise. They came out and hooked the speakers right up through the pre-wiring and the tv. The speakers sound amazing even at that hight in the room. You will not be disappointed at all.
