- Answer Hi kj1982, yes, the camera will automatically create a new file every time you start a new recording. The camera doesn't have a pause option. Thanks_Mitch

- Answer Yes, this will work great for special moments like these. If you are that concerned, I recommend just sitting as close as possible to the stage. But other than that, it's a great camera!
