“older model had the issue of the headset powering down while on bluetooth if there is no music going thru and trying to use the noise cancellation. I used a cut off headset jack as a bypass to resolve this. did Sony correct this issue with this model?”

They didn't on the headset I purchased a few weeks ago. I don't know the mfg date.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nope. Just got off the phone with sony support and you must have music going thru these to activate the noise canceling feature. Kinda sux if you, like I just want some peace and quiet on an airplane.
