The router does not use cellular network so GSM does not apply. The router is for broadcasting wi-fi signals in your house or apartment. The feed to the router needs to come from a cable internet service provider, either coax or fiber. That connects to a modem that is in turn connected to the router to broadcast a signal allowing you to connect to the internet.
