• I bought one of these units to connect my Samsung TV using wired connection, since my TV was dropping WiFi. This solved my issue completely.

• Hi! If your smart TV's source signal is connecting via Wi-Fi to your router, but receiving a poor strength/quality of signal at its location in your home, a Wi-Fi extender may help. However, if you are referring to external signal sources (e.g., satellite), a Wi-Fi extender will have no impact on that.
