“Is there a TP-Link range Extender that doesn't require the extender to initially have to be close to the router? I have 2 duplexes and would like to use the router in the other duplex without having to bother our son who lives next doors.”

If you can get the wireless signal to where your device is and you know the password then you shouldn’t have any problems
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.An extender doesn't need to necessarily close to the router but it does need and will always need a strong signal from the router to connect and stay connected. We suggest close to the router first to ensure a strong signal.
