• Yes, my house is brick & back wall is cement block. Sends signal out back to porch, havent tested how far further than porch

• Hi! That depends on numerous variables in your existing network environment. For example, if your existing router's signal reaches most of your home - including the room nearest the outside area you want to extend coverage into - it might work if you install the extender between the router and the "dead zone". However, your coverage results will vary depending on environmental variables.
