• Per TracFone if you only use the Add-on Minute Plan, you cannot send/receive text messages. ^Daphane

• Hi. This is Katrina from TracFone Wireless. If you add the Pay As You Go plan, you will receive text messages on this phone. But if you will add only the Add-on Minute Plan, you cannot send/receive text messages.
