“Does this have a free state download that I can do my family returns with? Also will this version handle investments this year?”

• deluxe can handle stock tranactions (even though turbotax says you need deluxe)

• TurboTax Premier 2025 Federal + E-file & State, would be recommended if you sold stock, bonds or mutual funds, sold employee stock, own rental property or are a trust beneficiary. It includes 5 Federal e-files and 1 State via download. State e-file sold separately.
